Dewalt smartphone revealed

Unexpected new phone manufacturer Dewalt have determined  a need for high performance Android smartphones that are suitable for day to day use in the construction industry.

Their tough new handset has been given a £379 ($544) price tag and will survive a 2 meter drop on to concrete. The phone will also be able to fully operate in temperatures ranging from -20C to 60C.

There are other advantages too, because of the higher level of physical testing involved to create a tough phone, the bigger case means extra room for a bigger battery.

Dewalt’s MD501 will come with a 13MP rear camera and will have a touchscreen made of commercially manufactured Gorilla Glass suitable for use with gloves and will even include in-built QA wireless charging.
